Privacy

This is the personal portfolio of Derrick Serna, an individual based in Barranquilla, Colombia. This page explains what happens to information when you visit it. It is short because the site does very little.

What this site collects

Nothing you type. There are no contact forms, no newsletter signup, no accounts and no comment fields anywhere on this site, so there is no way for it to collect your name, your email address or any other personal detail you would have to enter.

There is no analytics software, no advertising pixel and no visitor tracking of any kind. Your visit is not measured, profiled or added to an audience list.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no tracking cookies. It stores one small flag in your browser's session storage to remember that the opening animation has already played, so it does not replay on every page you open. That flag holds no personal information and is erased when you close the tab.

Video players and embedded services

The videos are delivered by third-party players (Mux, and where a clip is hosted elsewhere, YouTube or Vimeo). These players load only after you press play, so they set nothing while you are simply browsing. Once you start a video, the provider serving it may set its own cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy, which is outside this site's control. Video thumbnails are served as images and do not set cookies.

The Instagram link in the footer is an ordinary outbound link. Nothing is shared with Instagram unless you choose to follow it.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and operational purposes, as essentially all web hosts do. Those logs are handled under Vercel's own privacy policy.

Because no personal data is collected here, there is generally nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about this page, or believe something about you has ended up here, write to derrickserna.ca@gmail.com and I will respond directly.

Changes

If this site ever adds a form, analytics or anything else that changes the answer above, this page will be updated before that goes live, and the date at the top will change.
